Why You Should Try A Diving Holiday

If you’ve ever wondered why people enjoy incorporating diving into their holiday, take a look at these reasons:

  1. See Marine Life Up Close: there’s an enormous variety of underwater life to explore and diving is by far the best way to achieve this. Seeing coral reef teeming with fish and other creatures within reaching distance is an experience you’ll never forget.
  2. Every Dive Is Different: Each time you dive you’ll find something new and different. You might go to a reef one day (and bear in mind that every reef is different) and a shipwreck the next.
  3. Exploring The Unknown: When you go out on a dive, you will get to see things that few people ever get to see and the experience is uniquely yours.
  4. It Can Be Peaceful, Or Thrilling: seeing colourful tropical fish swimming amongst the coral is very meditative and relaxing; seeing a shark less than five feet away really gets your blood pumping!

The world is your oyster, so to speak, if you are thinking about going on a diving holiday. With so many destinations to choose from the hardest part of the holiday is going to be deciding where to go. Popular destinations include the Red Sea, Sharm El Sheik and Thailand. But diving holidays don’t come much better than in Australia. Diving amongst the Great Barrier Reef can be done all year round, though the best time to see all the wonderful inhabitants of the coral reef is between August and December. If you want to see coral spawning, the best time to visit Western Australia is in March and April when whale sharks visit. Or visit the Yongala, a shipwreck off the coast of Queensland, which is probably the top shipwreck diving destination in Australia.
